 Q.1) Why does the poet compare her mother's face to a late winter's moon ?
= How the late winter's moon lacks of brightness and colour, the poets mothers face was colourless and lack of brightness. It was just pale and wane and looked lifeless. So, the poet compared her mother's face to a late winter's moon.
